Finkelstein Philosophy/Religion Zoroastrianism (ca. 600 B.C.): Cosmic dualism in which the god of light, Ahuramazda, engaged in a struggle with the god of darkness, Ahriman.   Influences on later religions include Zoroaster's martyrdom, the prophet's life filled with miracles, the evil spirit as the Prince of darkness, and the notion of a Last Judgment.
